The Hachinohe Museum of History and Folklore opened. It have been the branch of Hachione City Museum since 1983. |

Hachinohe City Jomon Gakushu Kan opened. |

Korekawa Site Study Zone opened. (The exhibition room of History and Folklore Museum was repaired as this zone). |

"The Committee of designing of the Korekawa Jomon park" was established. The Fundamental Plan was revisited. |

"Promotion office for the Jomon park" was established in Hachinohe city board of education cultural affairs division. "The Committee of designing of the Korekawa Jomon park" started to secure the land to bulid "Jomon park" and "Korekawa Jomon Museum (tentative name) " . |

330 artifacts from Korekawa Nakai Site were listed as important cultural properties additionally. 10 July, Korekawa Archaeological Institution opened. |
