In Hokkaido and northern Tohoku, there are many Jomon sites and there sites belongs to same cultural area. For preservation of these Jomon site as global cultural heritages, "Jomon Archaeological Sites mainly located in Hokkaido and the Northern Tohoku Region and other regions" were submitted for future inscription on the World Heritage list. "Choshichiyachi Shell Midden" and "Korekawa Site" , which are in Hachinohe city, are two of the Archaeological sites.

15 jan. 2011, "Jomon Archaeological Sites mainly located in Hokkaido and the Northern Tohoku Region and other regions" was listed in Tentative List. Today, we promote to drawing up The Plan of Recommendation with other local-governments which have the site(s).
